A while back I saw the RÅSKOG utility cart and was inspired to make my own. I know… it’s just how my creative gumption works. While I was studying it’s design I came across another inspiring cart design from decorpad.com. Ah! Now we’re really talking. There’s a picture of that inspiration piece at the end of this post. With some pine boards and some paint, I was able to completely update this old cart with more practical storage and a cool industrial design flare.
I think it turned out nicely and my wife likes it, so that’s a plus!
We could use at least 2 more of these. Now I’m on the look out for more old carts to modernize…
Here some pics from the process:
- Dismantle the old cart
- Straightening the legs
- Painting and drilling new holes for the boxes
- Painting the screws
- Building the boxes
- Sanding the boxes
